FINES

Please find attached the latest fines for August/September/October. Thank you to those that have already paid their fines for  August and September.

LEAGUE MEETING

A reminder to all that the next League meeting of clubs will be held on Wednesday 4 December 2024 at the usual venue of the Bamber Bridge County and Catholic Club, Brownedge Road, Bamber Bridge, PR5 6TA commencing at 7.30pm. As this is the Christmas meeting we have reintroduced the tradition of providing hotpot and this will be served at the start of the meeting.

We will also be drawing the 3rd Round of the Guildhall Cup and the 1st Round of the Lancastrian Brigade Cup.

There will also be a raffle with cash prizes, match footballs and a photo shoot as the prizes so far.

If anybody has any issues to raise please let me know.

VETERANS FOOTBALL

As you may be aware we have a very successful Veterans section with 30 teams which is run by Tom Jaques.

We use pitches at the Bamber Bridge Hub, Witton Park and the LFA. Unfortunately we are having issues with the LFA. The pitch and floodlights haven’t been great and we pay £70 for the hire of the pitch. The LFA completely out of the blue have now said we must pay for the changing rooms at a further cost of £50 – previously these have always been provided for a number of years with no indication of a charge. They have also indicated that the price is subsidised and may also have to be increased (the full price is £117.50) at some point. Compared to Bamber Bridge (£75 for everything) and Witton Park (£53 for everything) the LFA charge is very expensive for the poorest facilities.  

Therefore we are looking for possible venues for a Friday night on 3G to replace the LFA. If anybody knows of anywhere that might be available at a reasonable price please let me know.
