AFC Ainsdale came out of the gates flying, with Liam Mackie in unstoppable form. Mackie netted a quickfire hat-trick with goals in the 1st, 14th, and 31st minutes to give AFC Ainsdale a commanding 3-0 halftime lead over Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs Reserves. The visitors tried to rally in the second half, with Joseph Lemmons pulling one back in the 75th minute, but Ainsdale held on for a well-deserved 3-1 victory.
Sir Tom Finney v Ribchester Rovers
Sir Tom Finney edged out Ribchester Rovers 2-1 in a thrilling encounter. Although no complete teamsheet was available, Sir Tom Finney’s resilience and determination earned them the win, keeping Ribchester Rovers at bay.
