It was a thrilling weekend of football, with standout performances and dominant displays across the divisions. Standish St Wilfrids stole the show with a ruthless 7-0 demolition of Eccleston & Heskin, led by a superb hat-trick from Samir Sobeih. However, the individual performance of the week belonged to Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs Reserves’ Tomas Wright, who put on a clinical finishing masterclass by scoring five goals in his side’s 6-2 victory over Leyland RAFA. With goals flying in across the leagues, it was a weekend to remember for fans and players alike.
Premiership
Burscough Dynamo 1-3 Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs
Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs proved too strong for Burscough Dynamo, securing a solid 3-1 victory away from home. Robert Hill found the net for the hosts, but it wasn’t enough as the visitors showed their attacking prowess. Goals from Adam Haines, Olivery Riley, and Jack Burton ensured all three points went to Southport & Ainsdale.

The second half saw more of the same dominance as Atkins grabbed his second just after the break. Hilton capped off a fine performance with his hat-trick goal in the 75th minute, rounding off a miserable afternoon for Cherrybrook.
Ribchester Rovers 1-9 Hoole United
Hoole United put on a ruthless attacking display as they dismantled Ribchester Rovers 9-1. Tom Smith got the scoring started inside two minutes, with Adam Thomas and Alfie Parker extending the lead before the break.
The second half was an onslaught, with Parker completing his hat-trick and Thomas adding two more for a treble of his own. Substitute Elliot Marsden put the icing on the cake in the final minutes, securing an emphatic away victory.

Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs Reserves 6-2 Leyland RAFA

Marsh United cruised to victory away at Astley FC Reserves, running out comfortable 5-1 winners. Aaron Hoyle’s brace set the tone, with Daniel Martin and Daniel Smith (2) also getting on the scoresheet. Leon Ofuonyemegi pulled one back for Astley in the 70th minute, but the damage had already been done.
New Longton Rovers 2-2 Castle FC
New Longton Rovers and Castle FC played out a dramatic 2-2 draw in a game that came to life in the second half. Joseph Richardson struck in the 70th minute to put the hosts ahead, but Castle hit back late.
