Goals, Drama, and Dominance on Display

In the Premiership clash between Tarleton Corinthians and Walmer Bridge, the two teams settled for a 2-2 draw. Tarleton’s Freddie Brookbanks and substitute Ellis Teale found the back of the net, while Walmer Bridge’s substitute Adam Rae scored twice, ensuring a share of the points for both sides.

Moving to Division One action, Broughton Amateurs AFC secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Sir Tom Finney, with goals from Jack Jemson and substitute Andrew Crossthwaite (x2).

In another Division One fixture, Cherrybrook narrowly edged past Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs Reserves 3-2, with Reece Prescott (60, 85) and substitute Joe Rolls (80) on target for Cherrybrook, while Thomas Elliot Haworth (62) and substitute Connor Tierney (78) scored for S&A Res.

Ribchester Rovers dominated their match against Hoole United, securing a 5-1 win with goals from Ben Bristo (x2), Rick Coar (x2), and substitute Connor Roberts, while Charlie Thomas scored for Hoole.

Standish St Wilfrids Reserves emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over Astley FC in Division One, with goals from Andrew Dickson, Adam Parker, and substitute Richard Watkinson, while Jack Brindle scored for Astley.

In Division Two, Astley FC Reserves and Cube FC played out an entertaining 3-3 draw, with Luke Robinson (x2) and Jake Whitelock scoring for Astley. However, Cube FC’s scorers were not documented. 

Lastly, in the Guildhall Cup semi-final, Standish St Wilfrids dominated with a 4-1 win over Norcross FC. Johan Du Toit, Tom Warren, Jamie Harison, and Bhavesh Patel all found the net for Standish St Wilfrids, while Norcross managed a consolation goal through Jonny Aries. Notably, Norcross scored when they were already trailing 4-0, highlighting the dominance of Standish St Wilfrids throughout the match.
