Premiership

In a closely contested match at the Premiership level, Highgrove edged out Tarleton Corinthians with a 2-1 victory, though the goal scorers were not documented, leaving fans to wonder about the details of the match-winning performances. 

Meanwhile, Shevington outpaced Preston Wanderers in a goal-rich fixture, ending with a 4-2 scoreline. Shevington’s goals came from Joe Cahill, Jack Hamilton, Shaun Whittle, and substitute Joe Wilson, while Ryan Cromie and Charlie Swindlehurst were on the scoresheet for Preston Wanderers. 
Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs showed their dominance by trouncing Newburgh Harrock 6-0, with a hat-trick by Thomas Taylor-Hampson and contributions from Christy Devlin, Connor Tierney, and Jake Graham.

The match between Walmer Bridge and Eccleston & Heskin did not take place as scheduled, resulting in an away win being awarded to Eccleston & Heskin.

Division One

In Division One, Broughton Amateurs AFC secured a victory over Appley Bridge with a score of 4-2, thanks to goals from Zachariah Adeoye, Oliver Jones, Liam Bell, and Andrew Crossthwait. 
Astley FC displayed their strength with a 4-0 win against Fleetwood Hesketh, courtesy of Leon Ofuonyemegi’s brace, Luke Robinson, and Adam Pickering. 

Cherrybrook overcame Hoole United in a second-half goal fest, winning 3-0 with Robbie Heaton, Joe Orme, and Iain Armstrong finding the net. 

Norcross comfortably beat Standish St Wilfrids Reserves 3-0, featuring goals from Jack Hayton, Will Robinson, and an unfortunate own goal. 

The fixture between Sir Tom Finney and Burscough Dynamo was a nail-biter, ending in a 4-3 victory for Burscough with goals from Robert Hill, Joshua Middleton, Chris Orritt, and Sam Roberts. 

The match between Southport & Ainsdale Amateurs Reserves and Ribchester Rovers saw S&A awarded a home win.

Division Two

In Division Two, Cube FC narrowly defeated Middleton & Overton Sports 4-3 in a match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. 

Bickerstaffe Reserves secured a 2-0 win against New Longton Rovers Reserves, with Stephen Brookes and Adam Jarman scoring. 

AFC Ainsdale claimed a 2-0 victory over Ribchester Rovers Reserves, showcasing their defensive solidity and offensive efficiency. 

Gables FC emerged victorious against Wyre Villa Reserves with a 2-1 scoreline, thanks to Richard Coley, while Tom Whitside scored for Wyre Villa.

Liverpool FA Saturday Junior Cup – Quarter Finals

In a dramatic Quarter Final of the Liverpool FA Saturday Junior Cup, Bickerstaffe and Old Xaverians were locked at 1-1, leading to a penalty shootout where Old Xaverians triumphed 6-5, ending Bickerstaffe’s cup run in a heart-stopping finish.
